Major Project: Poe's Project
Objective: Students will analyze Edgar Allan Poe's Poems
Assignment: Students will respond to the poems in a variety of formats which include the following: visual timeline, transposing, written analysis, composing or teaching which will reaffirm their deeper understanding of Poe's Poems.
Assessment: Each student is provided with individual rubrics depending upon their choice of assignment.

Objective: To create new text in a narrative format with the theme, “Suspense” and focusing on the corkscrew plot outline while using ample literary techniques.

- Somewhere-nature, make-believe place, real country, house, castle….spaceship-past, present or future
- Wanted-to be happy, to search for the magical object or place, to make friends, to find peace…..the ideas are endless.
- But-protagonist stood in the way, age, monster, nature, fear, people’s ideals/ignorance….
- So-find a solution to the problem
- Then...
- Create your planning guide and begin writing your suspense story-keeping in mind your audience when you write. The end result will be completed suspense story which will become part of a group web page.
